Bipolar Disorder
Have you ever had the experience that you wake up one day and feel energized and in an incredibly good mood and then you feel incredibly sad or depressed on other days?
Do these mood swings start becoming a barrier to the performance of daily activities?
Don’t get ahead of yourself. If this does happen, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have a mental illness. However, some people who do experience this have a mental illness known as bipolar disorder.
Bipolar disorder isn’t an illness that should be taken lightly. This mental illness also known as “manic-depressive illness” or “manic depression” goes through an intense set of mood changes. Through this, their mood can either be incredibly happy, energetic, or active than accustomed to which is known as the “manic episode.” The contrary episode where the individual suffers from intense depression is known as the “depressive episode.”
